Media has become more social because you are able to communicate with friends and family all over the world. I'm able to communicate with friends in Mexico through facebook. I don't have to worry about calling them on the phone, I just chat with them.
Social media keeps people connected and in touch with each other. It is more social because it's easy to use and is now more accessible.
Yes media has became more social, but it keeps us from keeping in contact with immediate people around us, near us, next to us. Have you thought of what people do if there are no internet due to problems or internet breaking down? People will go back to writing letters and calling each other up via phone. Just remember that even technology has its limits.
